What this is

You asked for Depop/Grailed-style research on what has real saves and real demand. I went after the live data rather than trend articles. Two marketplaces gave up hard numbers; two did not.

How to read the metrics

• Sales/day — the 100 most recent sales of that brand divided by the days they span. The sold index is strictly sale-date-descending (verified), so this is an exact current run-rate, not an estimate.
• 30d sell-through — sales/day × 30 ÷ live listings. How fast the standing inventory clears. This is the single best scarcity/heat signal on the page.
• Save density — % of that brand's live listings carrying 25+ saves. This is want independent of volume: a brand where a quarter of listings get saved is a brand people are hunting.
• Trend vs market — current run-rate ÷ run-rate one window back, normalised against the platform-wide median (1.15x — the whole market is up, so raw numbers flatter everyone). 1.00x = moving with the market. Only shown where the comparison window is 25–400 days back; otherwise it's noise and I've left it blank.

1. The social-native brand lane — ranked by current sales/day

These are the brands whose demand is driven by IG/TikTok culture rather than legacy retail distribution.

2. Fastest-clearing brands on the platform (highest 30-day sell-through)

Sell-through is where the money signal is. A brand at 15%+ monthly sell-through with a small live pool is a brand where supply cannot keep up — that is the sourcing target.

Current run-rate against the same brand's run-rate 25–400 days ago, normalised to the market's 1.15x lift.

5. Individual products with the most saves (live Grailed listings)

The literal answer to "products with a lot of saves." Every one of these is a single live listing.

What the top-saved list tells you: archive and Y2K-coded pieces dominate — Acne Y2K tie-dye hoodie (2,897 saves), Number (N)ine SS07 mudwash denim (1,635), Y2K Bape puzzle-camo full-zip (1,446), Bape × KAWS Bendy zip hoodie (817). The saved-object is almost never a current-season basic; it is a specific dated piece with a story. Price is not the constraint — a $26.6k Chrome Hearts × Rick Owens sneaker carries 934 saves.

6. Product / silhouette demand — ranked by save density

Brand-agnostic. This is what the shape market wants. Save density = % of live listings matching the term that carry 25+ saves.

I am deliberately not publishing per-term sales/day: text queries reorder the sold index by relevance, so date-span velocity is unreliable at the term level. Counts and saves are order-independent and stand.

7. The womenswear / TikTok-DTC lane (Poshmark)

Grailed is menswear-skewed, so the Brandy/Edikted/White Fox tier barely registers there. Poshmark carries that lane. Two caveats stated up front: listings is cumulative all-time listings under that brand (a scale metric, not current inventory), and Poshmark's brand facet ignores the sold filter, so I cannot compute sell-through there. Days-to-sale is the honest heat metric: median days since sale for the 48 most-recently-listed items that have already sold. Low = inventory turns fast.

8. Depop's own read (qualitative — their 2026 report, published 2025-12-19)

Depop's API is closed to us, but their published trend forecast names the brands and items their search data is spiking on. Four buckets, verified on-page:

• Modern Uniforms — COS, The Row, Ralph Lauren, Jil Sander, Chan Luu. Items: pinpoint oxford shirts, 501 '90s women's jeans, Balham trench, cashmere crew, leather loafers.
• Neo Nostalgia — Emilio Pucci, Missoni, Roberto Cavalli, Von Dutch, Ed Hardy. Items: ultra-low-rise flares, printed silk halter midi, bandage midi dress, quilted duffels.
• Everyday Ceremony — Willy Chavarria, Reformation, Miu Miu, Amina Muaddi, Vivienne Westwood. Items: cowl-neck corset dress, granny-frame handbag, tall boots, Mary Jane ballet flats.
• Romanticized Sports — Cecilie Bahnsen, Conner Ives, Oakley, Prada Linea Rossa, Martine Rose. Items: shirred soccer jerseys, oval sunglasses, cropped jackets.

Percentage figures circulating in press summaries (COS +696%, Champion +242%, Gap +210%, Adidas +168%) did not appear on any page I could actually fetch. I'm flagging them as unverified rather than repeating them as fact.

Cross-check against our own data: Von Dutch and Ed Hardy both show up in Depop's forecast and in the Grailed numbers — Von Dutch at 10.9% save density, Ed Hardy carrying 1,447 listings with 25+ saves. Vivienne Westwood likewise. That's two independent platforms agreeing, which is worth more than either alone.

9. Operator read

The scarcity tier is where the money is. Four brands clear 14%+ of their entire live inventory every month: Paly Hollywood (17.4%), The GV Gallery (16.4%), Drain Gang (15.1%), basketcase gallery (14.5%). All four are small pools (855–2,891 live listings) with save densities of 15–50%. This is the classic under-supplied signature — demand exists, inventory does not. Paly Hollywood is additionally running 3.22x the market trend rate. If you are sourcing, that quadrant is the answer.

Save density beats sales volume as a leading indicator. Hood By Air (50.3%), Drain Gang (49.6%), basketcase gallery (48.1%), Nigo (43.6%), Hedi Slimane (42.7%) — these are people bookmarking and waiting, which converts before it shows up in sold counts. Contrast Nike: 267,881 live listings, 74 sales/day, and a 5.3% save density with 0.8% monthly sell-through. Nike is liquidity, not demand.

The hype-streetwear tier is cooling, not crashing. Hellstar (0.90x), Sp5der (1.00x), Denim Tears (1.03x), Eric Emanuel (0.78x), Corteiz (0.58x) are all at or below market trend. They still move real volume (Hellstar 9.3/day, Sp5der 7.8/day) at healthy 4.5–6.6% sell-through, but the momentum has left. Do not build a sourcing thesis on this tier at current prices.

Y2K/archive is the durable engine. Number (N)ine (7.1% sell-through, 32% save density, 1.30x trend), Undercover (1.24x), Kapital (1.19x), Rick Owens Drkshdw (1.24x), Hedi Slimane (1.23x). Every one of the top-saved individual listings sits in this territory. Paired with Depop's Neo Nostalgia bucket and the Von Dutch/Ed Hardy signal, this is the strongest cross-platform agreement in the dataset.

Silhouettes to source, by save density: Salomon XT-6 (24.5%), varsity jackets (19.7%), parachute pants (16.2%), zip-up hoodies (15.1% on 27,737 live listings — the highest absolute demand of any term at 4,177 saved listings), Asics Gel (14.6%), balaclavas (13.8%), Birkenstock Boston (12.1%), track pants (11.3%), leather bombers (10.3%). Median sold prices sit $38–$277 — all inside a workable margin band.

Silhouettes to avoid: slip dresses (0.2%), mesh flats (0.2%), barrel jeans (0.6%), halter tops (0.8%), lace tops (1.4%), mary janes (1.5%), ballet flats (1.7%). High supply, no saves. Barrel jeans in particular are heavily written up in trend press and carry 4 saved listings out of 701 — press coverage without demand.

Womenswear lane: the fast-turn brands are Aritzia, Reformation, Alo Yoga, Vuori, Skims, Free People, Abercrombie and Hollister — all at 0 median days-to-sale, meaning recently-listed inventory sells the same week. The high-save-per-item brands are different: House of CB (median 6.5 saves/listing), Doen (5.5), Cult Gaia (3.5), Realisation Par (3.0), Selkie (3.0), Jaded London (single listing at 180 saves). The first group is volume; the second is desire at a $100–$190 median. Edikted, White Fox and Princess Polly move fast but at $18–$24 medians with near-zero saves — that lane is churn, not brand equity.

Dead on arrival: Trapstar (215 days-to-sale), Cole Buxton (731), Set Active (156), Realisation Par (40.5), Corteiz on Poshmark (111 — it sells on Grailed, not here). Wrong platform or wrong moment.

10. Caveats

1. Grailed skews menswear/streetwear/designer. Womenswear DTC is under-represented there by construction — that's why the Poshmark section exists.
2. Poshmark's brand facet ignores the availability filter, so no sell-through for that lane. Days-to-sale is the substitute and it is a proxy, not a rate.
3. "Trend vs market" for very-high-volume brands (Supreme, Chrome Hearts, Nike, Balenciaga) compares windows only 6–14 days apart. I've blanked those cells rather than present a fortnight of noise as a trend.
4. Depop contributes no quantitative data here. If that lane matters, the unlock is a residential proxy or a logged-in session — say the word and I'll build it.
5. All figures are a single snapshot at 2026-08-19. Re-running the scripts reproduces the tables.
